FAQ
Welcome to my web site! I am 33 and French, but I also speak German and Italien. For me, drawing is just as natural as sex. This means there are some ups and downs, but it remains essential to me. When I begin drawing, nothing can stop me!

Erotic Nude Drawings by PAMELAX

Commissionned work

Just visited your site and enjoyed your drawings very much. They're simple yet bold and, thus, uniquely affective. You will create a drawing from photos submitted? I have something in mind for/of my girlfriend. Please tell me what you can do. All the best to you!

Walt

Hi!
I would like to know what form of photo is acceptable to produce a line drawing. Do you want an original or scanned photo. Please advise.
I would also like to know your price range.

Regards
Milos
A scanned photo is sufficient for a line drawing. Even a small or somewhat bad quality picture may give something original and sweet, because drawing from a model relies more on suggestion than reality. The result depends on the model and on my fancy...

Black and white

Like your stuff but your site could use a faq page and maybe some biographical information.
Here it is...
For instance, I wonder about the size and the medium of the drawings. Are they all about the same size or do the originals vary over a range of sizes?
Size ranges from 3" × 4" (7 × 10 cm) up to jesus format 22" × 30" (56 × 76 cm).
Also, some appear to be more finished than others, do you start with a pencil drawing and then ink it? Or do you work with pencil on paper and then ink on tracing paper for the finished drawing?
Most of these pics are very quick sketches without any preparation. Just paper, brush and ink. Then a flash! Intense concentration and a drawing a few minutes later. The great advantage is freshness and this explains that some drawings may seem less finished than others.
Some of your stuff looks like you could use it as the basis for a linoleum cut and then make some nice prints. This could be a way of working with some color and kind of easing your way in. I see you looking at color only once in the examples on your site but for someone who draws well color is a cool addition. And you seem to have the ability to capture the crux of a pose in a rendering that seems almost gestural. Anyway, I have rambled enough and will close this by saying that I have come back to your site several times and continue to enjoy it and it would be a hoot to hear from you if you have time to respond to these odd queries.

Only Black and white may be awkward to you but that's the way I like it. Line drawing is the backbone of any artwork. Said differently, it's the essence of art.
The colorful pic is certainly a joke about the French flag!

Postcards

Is there a way to get more of your work available to be used as postcards?

Hi,
Your simplistic approach to erotic art is very nice, a unique change. I have a gallery site that features many erotic and pin up artists from the past and present. please stop by if you have a chance, i would be interested in doing a gallery of your work or at least a link exchange.

Good web site, Uncle Monkey. A great talent.

Inspiration sources

I never tire of your little drawings. Their simplicity reminds me of the fascination with Thurber. I like, and like the idea of a picture turned to a drawing. Someday soon.
Thanks, I enjoy the simplicity.

Excellent for classic erotic books. Reminds me of Annie Vallaton. Annie Vallaton was a French artist who excelled in your genre of art. Amazing, she is best known for her sketches in an edition of the Bible called "Good News for Modern Man."
Your work is superb. Thanks for being kind enough to answer me. Most artists do not.
C'est la vie!

Please note that I ALWAYS answer "normal" letters...
Hi PamelaX,
I was just passing through and I saw your site. Had to drop you a line regarding yours. Very nice work. The pieces that came in boldest (scan 70, 71) were really beautiful. They are all well done, though. I'm sure your schedule is pretty busy, but if you do have time to respond, I'd be curious to find out more about your art: i.e. did you study anywhere? What artists do you look to as far as inspiration goes? Do you like Patrick Nagel? Toulouse Lautrec? Al Hirschfeld? Egon Schielle? Alphonse Mucha? I see a little of all of these in your work and it fits nicely. Again, if you don't have time - no hard feelings, but if you do, drop me a line on these things. Thanks

Dear Aaron,
I like Toulouse-Lautrec and Mucha, as well as Schiele -I used to live very close to his workshop in Vienna. But my preferred painters are the Italian old masters, Delacroix, Monet and Turner. Nowadays it seems that art has moved to comics: I like Manara, Guido Crepax, Alex Varenne, etc.
Personaly I rely very much on "classical" drawing and perspective...
I take it as a prerequisite background to draw freely sexy girls.
I have studied art in some workshops in Paris and practiced by myself since my childhood. I just hope to perform more and better!
PamelaX,
I knew I was forgetting someone! I intended to include Milo Manara in that bunch but completely forgot. He's always been one of my faves as well. As far as 'graphic-novel' type stuff goes, there's also Azpiri who does some amazing stuff with the feminine figure. I like seeing artists who first display an actual knowledge of anatomy, then give it a sincere personal touch - the reason I had to comment on your work! Thanks for the response! And do keep it up, it's really beautiful.
Take care,
Aaron

Hi,

I just wanted to say I am very impressed! Your drawings are incredibly fresh. They remind me of Cocteau's drawings as well as some Picasso drawings. Best art I've seen in a long time from someone who is not a 'big name'!

Guy.
Thanks to you all and Good night!
